How Much Does Christmas Light Installation Cost in North Texas?
The straight version: what moves your number, what is always included, and why we quote after we look instead of before.
The short answer
Most North Texas homes land between $1,000 and $2,500, depending on roofline length, how many trees you want wrapped, and how much of the property gets lit. Every price includes design, installation, season-long fixes, takedown, and storage. Nothing gets billed separately later.
Why online prices are all over the map
Search this question and you will get numbers that contradict each other by a factor of five. There is a reason, and it is not that somebody is lying.
A company quoting by the linear foot over the phone is pricing a shape it has never seen. Your house has a number of peaks, a number of stories, a roof pitch, tree cover, and a distance from the nearest outlet, and every one of those changes the labor. Two houses with identical roofline footage can be an hour apart in install time because one of them is a single-story walk and the other needs a crew roped in on a twelve-twelve pitch.
So we do it the other way around. Bill walks the property, counts what is there, and gives you a number. You approve it before a single bulb goes up, and that is the number you pay.

These are ranges, not quotes. Your number depends on the things below, and you get it in writing before anything goes up.
What changes your price
- Roofline length. The single biggest factor. More linear feet is more material and more time on a ladder.
- Height and pitch. A two-story steep pitch takes fall protection, more setup, and more time than a single-story walk.
- Peaks and dormers. Every direction change is a cut, a clip line, and a splice. A complicated roof costs more than a simple one of the same length.
- Trees. Wrapping is priced by the tree, by height and trunk count. A mature oak is a different job than a young ornamental.
- Ground work. Bushes, landscape beds, walkway stakes, wreaths, and garland each add to the design.
- Access. Gates, slopes, fragile landscaping, and distance from power all cost time.

That last one is worth reading twice. Takedown and storage are in the number, not billed to you in January when you have no other option.

So do I own the lights?
No, and that is the point. This is an all-inclusive service, not a purchase. We supply the lights, we maintain them, and we store them. They go up on your house for the season, we fix anything that goes dark, we take them down, and they come back to our building until next year.
You are not buying a product you then have to own. No bins in the garage. No hunting for the one strand that killed the run. No replacing the whole set in three years when the wire gives out. You are buying the season handled, start to finish.
Three things to check on any quote
If you are getting more than one estimate, these are the questions that make the numbers comparable. Ask us the same ones.
- Is takedown included, or billed later? This is the most common reason a cheap quote stops being cheap.
- Whose lights are they, and who stores them? If you are buying the lights, you are also storing them and replacing them.
- What happens when a section goes dark in December? Ask whether a mid-season fix is free, and how fast. Ours is free.

Pricing questions
Why will you not give me a price over the phone?
Because any number given before somebody has seen your roofline is a guess, and guesses get corrected upward after the crew shows up. We walk the property, count the peaks, and give you a real number you approve before anything goes up.
Is takedown extra?
No. Takedown after the season and storage at our facility are both inside the price. If you are comparing quotes, check whether the other one bills takedown separately in December.
Do I pay a deposit?
A 30% deposit holds your install date. The balance is due when the display is up and you are happy with it.
Is there a minimum job?
Our minimum is $1,000. Below that the drive time and setup cost more than the job is worth, for both of us.
Do returning customers pay the same?
Returning customers keep their pricing and go on the calendar ahead of new bookings. We already have your display stored and know your roofline, so year two is faster for everybody.
Pricing by town
Pricing works the same everywhere we go. The drive is built into the number, so a house in Denton is quoted on the same basis as one in Pilot Point.
